Being a volunteer firefighter is a great way to give back to your community.  You can join as young as age 16! In the Putnam Lake Fire Department there are many ways to do so.  You can take classes to become a firefighter, an emergency medical technician (EMT), Fire Police, and Hazmat.

On top of all this training and experience, you gain many friends and memories.  This department is a family based group of members.  We do many department functions such as parades, picnics, and holiday parties for both the members and their families.
